Neema’s journey is a powerful reminder of why this work matters.

“I was living in an open old iron structure. When Shelter Equity and Asante Aid first visited me, I didn’t know I would be living in a house that I am not being rained on. They brought to me more than I was praying for—solar power, new 3 big rooms that have accommodated my 3 children Esther (8, Grade 3), Joshua (6, Grade 1), and Baby Mangi (8 months). The house is also sheltering at night my other immediate family members—more than 7 children with their parents who lacked proper housing.”

For Neema, the new home is more than walls and a roof—it is security, dignity, and opportunity. Her children now sleep in safe rooms, study under solar-powered light, and grow up with renewed hope for the future.

Beyond One Family – A Community Impact

Neema’s story is just one among many. In 2025, the Homes of Hope initiative provided:

• 5 durable homes with solar lighting and sanitation facilities.
• A solar-pumped borehole with a tower, delivering clean water to over 300 community members.
• 5 durable bicycles, enabling families to access education, markets, and healthcare.
